Stay in a Luxury Hotel

Maybe you wish to treat yourself.  Maybe someone else is footing the bill.  Maybe you wish to impress someone.  Or perhaps you are simply accustomed to a life of luxury.  Whatever your reasons, if you wish to stay in a five-star hotel, Dublin boasts an abundance of top-notch accommodation for discerning visitors. An example of classic Dublin style is the Shelbourne Dublin, a five-star renaissance hotel overlooking St Stephen’s Green and a popular address among the rich and famous. Most of its suites are named after celebrities associated with them, such as the Princess Grace Suite, reputed to be Grace Kelly’s favourite room.

Another noteworthy hotel is the Clarence on the banks of the River Liffey.  Apart from being one of Dublin’s finest boutique hotels and well placed in the centre of the city, the Clarence is also famous for its owners – the musicians Bono and The Edge from the Irish rock group U2. Reputed hotel chains such as Westin, Radisson, Hilton and Four Seasons also include luxurious Dublin hotels in their collections. As can be expected, such establishments pride themselves in providing absolute comfort by way of a gym, indoor swimming pool, gourmet restaurants, wireless internet, and all the amenities one could hope for.  Such hotels would also frequently cater for conferences and would be fully capable of hosting your company’s next foray abroad.

The majority of luxury hotels also do wedding receptions, so why not combine your big day with your honeymoon? Dublin is a fairly expensive city to start with and staying in a five-star hotel doesn’t come cheap anywhere in the world.  However, if you typically stay in luxury hotels, chances are that you can easily afford them. If you can’t, then the sheer amount of pampering that you’ll receive during your stay will surely make the dent in your bank account easily worthwhile. Even so, however, you might want to invest in a giant padlock for the mini-bar.
