Stay in a Budget Hotel

Thanks to the internet, your trip to Dublin can be almost completely booked online.  This is a particularly good idea when it comes to booking your accommodation – particularly if you’re on a tight budget, a student, or just plain stingy.  Dublin has a large variety of different hotels you can stay in with each appealing to different people in different situations.  That’s why it’s best to go online and see which ones would be ideal in your particular case.  Many hotels would also have special offers from time to time and you’d do well to take advantage of them.

If you wish to make the most out of the city, Dublin has many budget hotels right at the city centre.  As a rule of thumb, the closer that your hotel will be to the centre, the more noise will stream into your room from the street and nearby pubs.  Naturally this won’t be an issue if instead of being in the room at night you plan on being in the pubs making the noise yourself.  If your budget is even lower and you’re feeling somewhat more adventurous, you could stay in one of Dublin’s hostels.  Such places tend to be very lively and if you don’t succeed in making any friends on your holiday, chances are that you haven’t managed to make any friends back home either.

If on the other hand you are looking for a quiet holiday, quite a few budget hotels can be found a short bus ride away from the city centre.  Some of these establishments will also have a shuttle service to the airport in case you need to catch an early morning flight. Perhaps you are camping all over Ireland and are merely passing through Dublin.  If that’s the case there are several caravan and camping parks for you to choose from just outside the city. Hotel prices tend to rise during the peak summer months and accommodation of all types will be in very high demand during the St Patrick’s Day Festival in March.
