Buy a Leprechaun Hat

As you may imagine, Dublin is chock-full of souvenir shops. However, what may catch you off guard is that unlike souvenir shops that you may find in other countries, in Dublin they will be stocked with the most innovative and fascinating items imaginable.

A leprechaun hat is a fine example of what you’re sure to find in a Dublin souvenir shop.  Even these seemingly simple items can be purchased in a multitude of different shapes, sizes, and materials. These range from the simple plastic model that stays on your hand via an elastic strap, to extravagant and towering creations that come complete with a bright orange beard that will trail across your chin.

Other items include clothes with Irish motifs or with amusing drinking related messages printed on them. Many of these clothes are your typical souvenir items that can be bought in bulk at a cheaper price. However, the more determined souvenir seeker will find higher quality items such as branded sportswear in the form of Irish rugby and football shirts with the full club regalia.  Also available is high quality knitwear made out of Aran wool and official Guinness clothing.

Guinness souvenirs also come in many different forms including CD cases, bar towels, coasters, and of course pint glasses. If you’re looking to buy gifts for those back at home, you could quite easily complete all of your shopping in a single place. Other souvenir items that may tempt you are traditional Irish music CDs, jewellery with Celtic motifs, fridge magnets, key rings, soft toys, and Irish-themed ornaments for the home.
