Every May bank holiday weekend the International Jazz Music Festival featuring leading names from Ireland and abroad fills the night sky with funky beats from the town of Bray.  Since its inception in 2000, the Bray Jazz Festival has featured many an acclaimed international artist, such as the French/Vietnamese guitarist Nguyen Le, celebrated Chicago pianist and composer Andrew Hill, long-time James Brown collaborator Maceo Parker and his band, French accordionist Richard Galliano, and the Polish trumpeter Tomasz Stanko. Described as the festival for jazz connoisseurs, the programme is packed with some of the world’s most brilliant musical innovators.

With each year, the Bray Jazz Festival has attracted bigger names as it achieved record-breaking attendance levels.
